What is the definition of a My City Allstars territory?
The protected franchise territory includes up to 25,000 enrolled K-12 students enrolled within a public school district boundary. Typically, an entire school district must be purchased as part of a single territory (exceptions apply, see below). In cases where there are separate elementary and high schools districts in the same geographical boundary, both districts enrollment figures are taken into consideration.
Is my territory protected?
My City Allstars offers a protected franchise territory. Therefore, the territory becomes exclusive to you, and no other My City Allstars franchise will be allowed to operate within your territory without your permission.
I want to become a Franchisee, how long is the process?
Once the FDD is disclosed to an applicant, a 14 day clock starts. The law mandates a 14 day "cooling off period." Use this time to seek legal and accounting advice and ensure that you a facility to run the camp. Use this time to make sure that My City Allstars is the right fit for you. The process typically take 3-4 weeks.
How are territories determined?
My City Allstars Territories are determined by public school districts and their enrollment numbers.
How do I know if my territory is open?
First things first, Check our map! Even if a My City Allstars location does not appear on the map, we might be in negotiations with another applicant. The best way to protect your area is to start the process ASAP.
What is the term of the Franchise Agreement?
The term of the franchise agreement is 10 years with an option to renew another 10 years if the franchisee is in good standing. The FDD discloses more information.
When a school district's enrollment is UNDER 25,000 students:
In cases where a district's enrollment is below 25,000 enrolled K-12 students, multiple districts may be purchased as part of the franchise territory.
When a school district(s)' enrollment is BETWEEN 25,000-80,000 K-12 students:
Alternatively, if the enrollment of the district(s) is above 25K but below 80K then additional fees will apply per pupil. Considerations may be made in areas with a high density of economically challenged students. Contact us to discuss your territory!
When a school district's enrollment is OVER 80,000 K-12 students:
Finally, districts over 80K enrollment may be subdivided into smaller units as determined by the franchisor. Learn more!
